a space to breathe, a plan to grow, and the tools to become exactly who you want to be.

  • In many languages, Sukoon translates to a deep sense of peace, the kind that isn't just the absence of noise, but the presence of clarity and internal quiet. We are a Sydney-based Therapy practice dedicated to Professional support tailored to your unique story.

  • Mind, body, and spirit are never treated in isolation.

Specializing in strength-based recovery, we provide a collaborative space to bridge the gap between where you are and who you want to become. The approach utilizes neuroplasticity, the brain’s inherent ability to reorganize itself, by blending evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with somatic and creative modalities. At its core, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is based on the idea that how we think (cognition) and how we act (behavior) affects how we feel.

We believe in keeping things simple, neuroscience backed, and human. At Sukoon Therapy, we believe your survival strategies, the things that helped you endure trauma or life transitions, are proof of your resilience. Our work is to help you take those inherent strengths and repurpose them to build a living that feels authentic, empowered, and truly yours.

    • Helping you reconnect with the real you inside.

    • Learning that making a mistake is just a way of learning something new.

    • Learning how to be okay when life feels like a brand-new season.

    • Learning to say no to others so you can finally say yes to yourself.

    • Helping your body feel like a safe and happy home again.

    • Helping you navigate attachments and build secure, healthy, and trusting relationships.

    • Treating yourself with the same kindness you give to everyone else

    • Helping you understand the language of your feelings when they feel like noise.

    • Helping you shift from just surviving to thriving using your inherent strengths and simple tools.

    • Choosing to be real instead of trying to be perfect.

    • Moving from getting through the day to intentionally thriving in it.

    • Remembering that you are wonderful exactly as you are right now.

Simply, I help you untangle the big feelings so you can focus on the big life you’re building.

    * We have a special place for people who have families in different parts of the world. We offer a safe space to talk about family, migration, and the beauty of having a dual identity. Helping you bridge the gap between your cultural roots and the life you are building today.

SERVICES

  • Your brain is a masterpiece of Neuroplasticity ( the ability to reorganize its structure, functions, and connections in response to experience, learning, injury, or environmental change). Here at Sukoon Therapy, these are particularly longer sessions. We collaborate to utilize tools based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Whether you’re struggling with cultural adjustments, coping with past trauma, or managing stress and anxiety, I am here to help you develop practical tools and strategies to navigate these challenges. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy based Psychotherapy is Reflective & Deep-Rooted Work. These longer sessions provide a safe space to go beneath the surface of present challenges to understand the origins of our pain. Together, we will gently analyze recurring life patterns, process and even explore dream work to uncover what your mind is trying to communicate. This is a collaborative journey toward integrating all parts of yourself. We acknowledge that healing isn't linear. Our focus remains on empowerment, giving you agency over your story and your recovery.

  • Did you know the Doctors in Japan often prescribe Forest Bathing for reducing blood pressure, heart rate, and muscle tension? It all starts with a choice. Maybe you’re ready to heal old wounds, rebuild your confidence, or simply feel like yourself again. Whatever brought you here matters, because healing isn’t just moving on, it’s moving forward with purpose and strength. Your story begins with one powerful decision ~ to try.

Meet Your Therapist

Hi! I’m Saba. I’m so glad you’re considering working together.

Therapy with me is an invitation to slow down and notice what you are sitting with. If you feel like an expert at managing stress but a beginner at experiencing joy, you’ve likely made survival mode your permanent residence. High-functioning anxiety is still anxiety. Just because you're doing it well doesn't mean it’s not hurting. It’s time to move toward the ease of living and thriving. Through nervous system regulation and self-connection, I provide the space and strategy to trade a life of exhaustion for a life of intentional thriving. After all, you cannot pour from an empty cup, no matter how hard you tilt it.

As a PACFA-certified Psychotherapist with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, my goal is to offer you a safe, non-judgmental space to help you navigate your story. Outside of sessions, I clear my mind by riding my motorcycle and spending time in nature. At home, my schedule is strictly managed by my cat, who frequently makes cameo appearances during video calls as my unofficial assistant!

There is a massive difference between having a pulse and having a life. Let’s bridge that gap.

FAQs

What can I expect from my first session?

Your first session is a gentle beginning, a space where we’ll take our time to understand your story, your goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. Together, we’ll create a supportive and personalised plan, moving at a pace that feels right for you.

What kind of issues do you specialise in?

I specialise in helping individuals with trauma recovery, confidence building, emotional regulation, navigating life transitions, domestic violence support, and self-esteem development.
Whether you're seeking to heal deep wounds, rebuild your identity after a difficult chapter, or simply learn new coping strategies, I tailor each session to meet you where you are ~ with respect, patience, and care.

How can you help me?

I offer more than just experience, I bring deep, compassionate understanding shaped by over six years of working directly with trauma survivors in both India and Australia. I’ve supported women rebuilding their lives after domestic violence through the government’s Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) unit in India, guided callers through crisis on the Jeevan Aastha Suicide Helpline, and worked alongside NGOs to empower individuals at some of the most critical points in their lives. In Australia, I’ve helped those recently incarcerated find healing and hope through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I currently work as a family therapist with the Department of Communities and Justice in Sydney, supporting families recovering from trauma. What I offer you is a blend of evidence-based therapies like CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed care, grounded in emotional intelligence, real-world experience, and an unwavering belief that healing is possible. Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to walk it alone. I’m here to help you find strength, clarity, and a way forward that’s truly yours.

Do I need to have a "big" problem to start therapy?

Not at all. Therapy is for anyone seeking growth, clarity, or support , whether you're facing a major life event or just feeling a little stuck. Every feeling, every story, and every desire for change is valid here. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from a safe space dedicated to you.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re asking the question, it’s a sign you’re already listening to an important part of yourself. Therapy can help when you're ready to better understand your emotions, break old patterns, heal, and create meaningful change. It’s less about needing to be "ready" and more about being open to exploring what’s possible — at your own pace.
